Workshop held on when citizen involvement helps improve social protection delivery

Development Pathways, Age International and HelpAge International will next week hold a seminar to discuss the findings of research on when and how social accountability initiatives can contribute to better delivery of social protection programmes.

The research was supported by DFID to plug a gap in knowledge on how social accountability initaitives - which aim to better hold officials to account by involving citizens - are being implemented in the social protection sector. Through a comprehensive literature review and four case studies, the research provides new evidence on when and how social accountability initiatives can contribute to better service recipients receive, and strengthen state-society relations.

At the workshop, we will take stock of the evidence and invite feedback on the findings, which are now available by clicking here.

The seminar is invite-only. If you are interested, please email lbaker@developmentpathways.co.uk stating your interest.
