Book launches featuring Development Pathways team chapter

Today, 1st June 2023, sees the launch of a new book Evidence in Action for Children: The Role of Evidence, Research, and Knowledge to Strengthen Social Protection. The book, published by UNICEF, shares lessons from strengthening social protection systems across the region.

Development Pathways contributed to chapter four Leaving No Child Behind: Policy Dialogue on a Universal Child Benefit in Sri Lanka. Staff members Stephen Kidd, Diloá Bailey-Athias and Madeleine Cretney are among the authors.

To mark the event, socialprotection.org is hosting a webinar at 9:30am UK time. The webinar will explore challenges and opportunities for strengthening evidence-based policy making in social protection in the East Asia and the Pacific region, including issues related to financing, coordination, and sustainability. The session will identify key priorities and actions to strengthen the generation of future evidence for social protection policy formulation and program implementation for children and their families.
