We worked with UNICEF on this policy brief ‘The road to recovery: how social protection can address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Uzbekistan’. The document provides evidence to support the Government of Uzbekistan in its social protection response to the economic crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This policy brief assesses the impacts the COVID-19 crisis has had on Uzbekistan’s households, with a specific focus on changes in incomes. It uses data from the monthly Listening to the Citizens of Uzbekistan (L2CU) panel survey, which interviewed a representative sample of households every month from September 2018 to October 2020.
